ORTHOPTICS
Orthoptics is a profession allied to eye care profession whose primary emphasis is the diagnosis and non-surgical management of strabismus (wandering eye), amblyopia (lazy eye) and eye movement disorders.
Now a days due to use of modern smart gadgets such as smart phones, TV, computers etc. by the young generation and school going children’s, the orthoptic problems are increasing.
Due to lack of specialist and setups the patients remained undiagnose and simply take new-new spectacle with changed spectacle power in every visit. Only changing spectacle power don’t solve the problems, but require exercises according to the patient symptoms.
The patients who have orthoptic problems may have problems such as:-
- Headache while reading.
- Eye ache.

- Blurring of vision after prolong reading.
- Occasional diplopia.
